Schools fundraising

We love to work with schools. Children are wonderful for many reasons – one of these is their natural open mindedness. Learning about and helping support the work of Footsteps is a wonderful way to build understanding and acceptance of disability from an early age.

Children at Footsteps want to develop new skills and grow in confidence and capability just like any other child but they have some additional challenges –  sitting, moving or walking unaided for example. Or communicating clearly. Footsteps therapy helps a child to reach his or her maximum potential and children in your school can help.

Cartoon Footsteps spiderWe would love the opportunity to work with your school and involve the children in some great activities to raise money for other children who need a bit of extra help to reach their potential.  We have some exciting ideas including our very own ‘Spider’ challenge and Footsteps challenge which can be adapted to suit all ages.

Could you make us your Charity of the Year? Or make us the charity for your summer fete or Christmas Bazaar? Or support us on Footsteps Friday with an event you choose? We’ll support you every step of the way by providing you with:

  • Someone to talk at your assembly and explain what Footsteps is all about
  • A guided tour of the Footsteps Centre (4 children at any one time)
  • Promotional materials  and online links for parents
  • The official Footsteps Foundation logo
  • Sponsorship forms and poster templates
