Wentworth Golf Club raise £10,000 for Footsteps

Thanks to Joe and Tania Gallagher, whose daughter Olivia attends the Footsteps Centre, Wentworth Golf Club selected Footsteps Foundation for one of their annual charities in 2012.

They recently donated a fantastic £10,000 to Footsteps which will enable a disabled child to complete a full year of physiotherapy at the Footsteps Centre.

Fundraiser Clare recently attended the Golf Club’s charity presentation dinner and thanked all members and donors for their valuable support.

Footsteps Team G Force Chris Gibson receives a prize putter

The Swindon Business Golf day held at Wrag Barn in July raised £1445 for Footsteps Foundation. The day of golf and evening of raffle prizes and auctions was organised by Sharon & Rodrigo Villegas who after visiting Footsteps decided to support us through their love of Golf.

13 teams from around the county took part in the day dodging the showers and wind. Whilst the Footsteps team didn’t walk away with a team prize, our Footsteps fundraiser’s dad, Chris Gibson won the putting competition on his first attempt – Well Done Dad!

A flag signed by Padraig Harrington was auctioned for £200 and a football boot signed by Cesc Fabregas sold for £250. A big thank you to Fish Bros (Honda) for sponsoring the event, and to Fotographica for donating a percentage of their takings from the team photos sold.
