Toddle Waddle for Footsteps

Staff and parents accompanied children aged between two and four as they toddled from Seedlings Montessori Nursery Wantage to the Chestnuts play area in Charlton on the 17th of May.

The children chose to raise money for Footsteps Foundation and donated £250 in total. They also made their own colourful medals, decorated with footprints and jewels to remind them of the charity they were supporting.

Footsteps Foundation would like to thank all of the toddlers, staff and parents for their efforts.

Fundraising Committee Opportunity

CAN YOU HELP A DISABLED CHILD TAKE A FOOTSTEP?

We are looking for volunteers of all backgrounds to help raise awareness and funds for Footsteps Foundation.

The demand for support from Footsteps Foundation is continuing to increase as more and more children with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders require financial assistance to access the unique and intensive Footsteps physiotherapy programme.

Since 2009 Footsteps Foundation has provided support to 111 individual disabled children and awarded £100,877 worth of grants in 2011 alone.

Positions are currently available on our fundraising committee which meets once a month to discuss fundraising opportunities and raise the charity’s profile locally and nationally. There are also positions available on the Board of Trustees and people interested in general fundraising/volunteering are encouraged to get in touch.

Pip Hoyer Millar, Founder of Footsteps Foundation, says “Becoming a committee member or a volunteer is a great way of helping a disabled child to reach their full potential. It is a hugely rewarding role and we are looking forward to welcoming input from a new group of people.”
