Bottoms up for the blues & beer festival

Wallingford’s annual Blues & Beer Festival took place on Friday 4th & Saturday 5th June. The festival was setup to promote music and raise money for local charities. This year Footsteps Founda- tion and the Wallingford School Fun band were chosen as the benefitting Charities .
The Weekend was headlined on Friday night by Paul Jones and The Blues Band, who played to a packed out Regal Centre. Wal- lingford School Fun band provided music on the Saturday after- noon alongside local girl Jodie O’Callaghan, and the weekend was rounded off with Cry Baby & the Hoochie Coochie Boys and the small but powerful Connie Lush.
With over 40 barrels of Beer on offer and a BBQ the weekend was an outstanding success. Funds raised will be collected at a presen- tation evening on September 11th.
