10K Challenge: Thornbridge Hall in Derbyshire, June 30th 2012

No minimum sponsorship, No entry fee, Beautiful scenery, Fun family weekend…What are you waiting for?!

At the end of June, the gates of Thornbridge Hall in Derbyshire once again swing open as small charities come together for The Challenge, a day that mixes fundraising and family fun to benefit small charities that support communities right across the UK. Footsteps Foundation are using this opportunity to ask supporters to enter to raise money for us.

The Challenge is a fun run/walk along 4km or 10km courses that are suitable to all ages with a reasonable level of fitness. The route takes you through some of the most scenic parts of the Peak District, after which you can relax in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall, the country home of Emma Harrison (Chair of the FSI).

This year, the FSI Challenge is part of a whole weekend of activities and entertainment. You can bring a picnic and drinks for relaxing after the race and, best of all, you can camp overnight in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall on Saturday the 30th June. You will then be able to attend the Thornbridge Hall Garden Party on Sunday the 1st of July – a day of fun filled activities for the whole family to enjoy! If you don’t fancy the drive to Thornbridge on the Saturday you can also Camp on Friday the 29th of June so really making an action filled weekend!

Get in touch with us at Footsteps Foundation – email clare@footstepsfoundation.com for a registration form and runner’s pack or call 01865 340376 for more information. There are a limited number of places available so get in quickly!

With thanks to the FSI there is no registration fee so all funds you raise for us go directly to Footsteps Foundation, enabling us to the improve the quality of life for children with neurological disorders. With your support, we can help even more disabled children to access intensive physiotherapy so that they can each gain the confidence and independence needed to confront their own challenges. If you raise more than £50, you will get a FREE Footsteps T-shirt!

Our new fundraiser Clare will be taking up the challenge so come along and join her. Together we can help disabled children learn to walk, grow in confidence and ultimately give them the opportunity to reach their full potential.
