Faure for Footsteps: Musique Sans Frontieres

The Great Milton Singers invite you to join them for an inspiring evening of music from across Europe and help raise money for local disability charity Footsteps Foundation. The Great Milton Singers present Musique Sans Frontieres at St. Mary’s Church in Great Milton on Saturday 24th March. They are inviting everyone along to enjoy their performance of European music and a glass of wine in aid of Footsteps Foundation.

Led by Musical Director Kate Billimore, the Great Milton Singers have already raised over £5,000 for good causes over the last six years. The concert will feature two works by Fauré: the exquisite Requiem and the beautiful Cantique de Jean Racine, as well as songs and music from England, Scotland, Italy and beyond. The choir will be accompanied, as usual by the magnificent Bagatelle Ensemble.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to Footsteps Foundation, a local charity providing access to a unique and intensive physiotherapy programme for children and young adults with neurological disorders.

Choir member Kate Pattinson says ‘I recently went to the Footsteps Centre in Dorchester and I was overwhelmed by what I saw there. It was inspirational.’ And, of the Great Milton Singers, a recent review described their music as ‘expertly interpreted and enriched with warmth of tone by the string quartet, Bagatelle’.

Tickets are £7 in advance or £7.50 on the door and include a glass of wine. £6 for concessions and a family ticket at £20 includes two adults and up to three children. Tickets are available from Great Milton Stores or from Alex Kirkman 01844 278090. Concert starts at 7.30pm.
